Bittersweet announcement
Today, I am pleased to announce the launch of my new blogsite, Silver & Grace.
I have been blogging at the Urban Panther’s Lair for over a year now, and many wonderful things have come from that:
- meeting, virtually and in person, many wonderful fellow bloggers;
- interacting with Lair commenters from all over the world;
- learning how to write ‘blog style’ .
Originally, the Lair started out as a place to share my day to day comings and goings with family and friends. It evolved to my thoughts on life in general, and even into the world of fiction.
In the process, I discovered I was most passionate about my posts on the physical and spiritual well being of women in my age bracket. That would be the Forty Plus crowd.
And out of this passion, grew Silver & Grace. A site dedicated to keeping myself and other women informed on the joys and challenges of aging. My goal and desire is to create a strong community of women sharing our knowledge, stories, and wisdom.
Ladies, your involvement has helped make the Lair what it is today, and is instrumental in leading me to Silver & Grace.
Gentlemen, I am certainly not going to leave you out, as you too have been crucial in the Lair’s interactive flavour.
And here is where the bittersweet part comes in. As my fellow bloggers know, blogging properly takes time, effort and a whole lot of energy.
Yes, you can see where this is leading …..
The Urban Panther’s Lair is being put on hold for the time being, as I pour my energies into Silver & Grace. Gents, this likely means farewell for now, as you likely aren’t that interested in hot flashes, estrogen spikes, and skipped periods. It has been a pleasure and an honour, and if there is a Forty Plus lady in your life, I would be thrilled to see her over at my new site, sharing her stories.
Younger ladies, hot flashes and night sweats likely aren’t are on your radar either. So, again, a pleasure and an honour to have gotten to know you, and thank you so much for bringing your perspectives to the Lair. If you have sisters, aunts, moms, and friends in the Forty Plus crowd, feel free to send them over to the new site for a read.
Forty Plus Ladies!!! Come on over, and let’s continue the party. I look forward to building that powerful and strong community of Wise Women.
Heartfelt hugs to all!
Urban Panther

As one who left a first-time blog to eventually start another — I know how you feel. The new site looks like it will be a wonderful niche to explore some much-needed information. Best wishes!

Awww….
I LIKED coming here!
But I understand that you can’t maintain both blogs. There are only so many hours in the day (Especially if you work full-time).
Best of luck with the new blog
(But we’ll still be keeping in touch, naturally).

Best of luck with Silver & Grace. It sounds like us “gents” with women in the 40+ year old category can learn from it, too.
I turned 40 about six weeks ago, does this mean I can no longer remain in denial? I really am getting older? Or just better?
